The New Sales & Shipping Area
Last week we rolled out a tremendous update to the sales and shipping section. It’s one of the many things we wanted to do before launching publicly. Below we’ve outlined all the cool new ways you can manage your sales and shipping. Let’s take a look.
The first thing we wanted to do was make printing orders easy. So to achieve that, we did the following: One is we created a checklist that you can use while packing your orders. This checklist tells you everything you need to know. The name, address, email, contents of the package as well as a box to check off when you’re done. We even have an option to flip the checkbox to the other side if you’re left handed. Next, we created a label printing option. This includes the return address, and the shipping address for each order waiting to be shipped. Lastly, we made a packing slip feature that not only lets you print out a simple standard packing slip, but also a custom one with your logo on it if you want. The great thing about these 3 features is they’re all in one system that allows you to set up the ones you want, then save those settings for future use. You can have everything you need to pack and ship your orders, with just a single click.
The second thing we wanted to do is give you a way to expand and collapse each order so you can see exactly what’s being shipped and where it’s going. With the quick click buttons at the top left, you can do this for all the orders at once, or just click a specific order on the list and only that one will expand. Next, we wanted to make that expanded order view the hub for all the different actions you can do to that single order. For instance, if you wanted to copy the address to your clipboard, we have a little copy icon to the right of the name. We also gave you a way to change an address prior to printing. Changing addresses was one of the most requested features we’ve ever had, so we’re really happy to release that. Then we gave you a way to mark that specific order as shipped. While we do have the feature that lets you mark multiple orders as shipped, this works well when you’re Unshipped area is swamped with preorders. Next, we gave you a way to make notes inside of an order. We also have an email link that pre-populates the subject field with the order number (slick, I know). And lastly, we gave you a way to print a single order with your default printing preferences. Check out all the screenshots above to see the exact location of all these great features.
We think these new additions, plus our CSV exporter and our multiple marked as shipped feature, give you everything you need to manage your sales and shipping in one easy to use area.
